Claude Elliott Curtis' Obituary
Claude Elliott Curtis, 82, of Culpeper, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Home. He was born on February 1, 1925 in Raccoon Ford to the late Roland Lee Curtis and Maude Shaw Curtis.
Mr. Curtis worked for the Culpeper Star Exponent for twenty years. He later went to work for the Rochester Corporation and spent over twenty years of service with them as a machinist. He was a kind and loving man that will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Daugherty Curtis, his daughter, Sandra Ann Curtis of California, step-son, John Pierce of Culpeper, and step-daughter, Cathy Pierce of Ohio.
Additional survivors include his sister, Eleanor Myers of Culpeper, grandson, Dennis Pierce, granddaughter, Suzanne Ayub, sister-in-law, Rachel Leeth of Waynesboro, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Tuel Curtis, two brothers, Roy Curtis and Paul Curtis and his sister, Corine Myers.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with his nephew and dear friend, Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
