Claude Lee Kay's Obituary
Claude Lee Kay, 78, of Florence, SC, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home.
Claude was a licensed barber who took pride in his work. He loved to take his kids camping and on many vacations to Disney World. Claude also liked to cook and spoil his entire family.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Kay Pratt; a sister, Martha Kay Berry; four brothers, Larry Kay, Royston Kay, Jr., Sammy Kay, and Richard Kay, and his parents, Royston and Martha Bundy Kay.
Claude is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nettie Williams Kay; two daughters, Belinda Kay Walker, and her husband, Rudy, and Stephanie Kay Herndon, and her husband Victor; a son, Richard Kay; three brothers, Robert Kay and his wife, Ella, Randolph Kay and Wayne Kay; a son-in-law, James Pratt III; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
His family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the V Foundation for Cancer Research at jimmyv.org/donate.
