Clarence Jacob Rixey's Obituary
Clarence Jacob Rixey, 90, of Culpeper died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born April 2, 1917 in Culpeper, Virginia to the late Norman and Nannie Wright Rixey.
Mr. Rixey was a retired Tech Sergeant with the United States Air Force, having served in WWII and the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, Natacha Shotts and her husband, Bobby, of Goliad, TX, Rodney Rixey and his wife, Jan of Richmond, Tanya Rixey Hale and her husband, William of Culpeper, his daughter-in-law, Kathy Rixey Wickman of Atlanta, GA, and five grandchildren, Alex Rixey, Kyle Rixey, Nydia Heintz, and Melissa Rixey, and Adam Rixey.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nyrma Lestre Rixey and a son, Norman Rixey.
The family will received friends on Thursday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Orndorff officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
