Clarence R. Scott's Obituary
Clarence Ray Scott, 66, of Culpeper died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born November 30, 1943 in Castleton, VA to the late Clarence Dudley and Bertie Compton Scott.
Mr. Scott was a veteran of the US Army and a former police officer in the town of Culpeper from 1969- to 1973. He was an avid race car fan and a past member of Culpeper American Legion Post # 330. His family was his life and will be remembered as a hard worker, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Chris A. Scott, his children, Randy Scott and his wife, Chasity, and Mendy Scott, all of Culpeper, and his siblings, John Scott and his wife, Dorothy of Front Royal, Gail Doggett of Culpeper and Joan Roberts and her husband, Robbie of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include his grandchildren, Jessyca Skelly, Tabitha Scott, Noah Scott, Davis Scott, Vernon Scott and Lillian Scott, and two great grandchildren, Khloey and Kaleb Skelly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Eulis Scott, Marion Scott and Vernon Scott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Grayson Delano officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper American Legion Post # 330 and V.F.W. Post # 2524.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
