Kenny Degennaro
I share these memories with a heavy heart for my cousin and friend Skipper and his family. I first met Skipper when my parents, Uncle Johnny and Aunt Millie, took us (Marg and Kenny as kids) on a summer trip to Fall River. That’s where the adventure began. Uncle Jack decided to boil lobsters that evening and the kids had to sleep in the living room to keep a watchful eye on the galley. Sure enough on a trip to the bathroom, I peaked in the kitchen and saw an army of Lobsters crawling all over the place. The screams woke the whole house!
Other adventures include the times I spent as a teen summering in Manassas on Damascus Drive, marching on the red-dirt covered “bloody” fields behind their development, according to Jackie!
Skipper spent times at my house too when Uncle Jack and Aunt Chris came to visit Altoona. My favorite memory was the time Skipper and I took my sisters Corsair out for a 3am ride one summer night. No one ever knew!!
I wish I had more memories! My condolences to all.
Cousin Kenny DeGennaro.
