I have had the pleasure of knowing CJ since he was in middle school as his teacher and principal. CJ was always a light in the day for me! CJ always had a smile on his face and a kind word to share each time we saw each other. CJ may not be with us anymore but his smile, laughter, and sense of humor will brighten Heaven each day! May God Bless you all as you deal with your loss.

CJ was definitely one of a kind! Always upbeat and fun. He was real close to my brother-in-law Aaron and would come over and visit everyone time to time. He'd joke with my son Hunter who was 8 yrs old at the time he was playing football. CJ told Hunter that he'd be his personal trainer so every time he came over he was telling him to do push-ups, run around the house, eat healthy and all that. And he'd check up on him next time to make sure he did. Haha. They had a fun time with that! CJ was a character. He had the heart of a child. That reminds me... I once heard someone say that our children are God's children before they are ours. I hope that thought comforts those that are hurting because God knows what's best for His children. Just like we know what's best for our children. We can't see the full picture from God's perspective and don't know what He may have been keeping CJ from either. I'm thankful for the time I got to know him even though it feels like not enough time.
He was a great, inspirational role model for sure! I'm praying for family and friends in this sad time. Hoping they can find peace that passes human understanding knowing he had the privilege to go to Heaven early. I just thought of the song "I Can Only Imagine". Whatever he's doing right now he's smiling bigger than usual for sure!
I'd guess dancing and singing with people he knows. And probably people he doesn't know. Haha. I'm praying for all the memories to be remembered every day and rejoicing and celebrating for him even with the sadness in our hearts.

I never saw CJ that he didn't smile and say hello. What a great trait for all of us to develop and share in his honor. He would want us to be happy and treat each other well. CJ and his good soul will be missed by all. My love to his family and friends.
