Christopher Eric Richards' Obituary
Christopher Eric Richards, 46, of Rixeyville, VA passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born on March 12, 1975 in Culpeper, VA to Thomas Richards and Martha “Sue” Butler, both of Culpeper, VA.
Chris was the owner and operator of Professional Tree Care and Landscaping. He had a love for the woods and found peace whenever there. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, relic hunter, and loved muscle cars as well as watching the Redskins. He was a spiritual man that had a relationship with God and attended Alum Springs Baptist Church. His love of family and friends will always be remembered.
In addition to his parents, Thomas Richards and Martha “Sue” Butler, he is survived by his sons, Dalton and Chase Richards; their mother, Sarah Borja, her husband, Brandon; step-mother, Rosa Lee Richards; one brother, Thomas “Mike” Richards, his wife, Kathy; step-brother, step-sister, niece, nephew, fiancé, Rebecca Hutcherson, her daughter, Nancy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyd and Elizabeth Coffey, and Elijah Richards and Elva Jenkins; and step-father, Dick Butler.
A public visitation will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. Due to Covid-19 mandates, masks are required to enter the building. A private service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ron Young officiating.
