Loving, devoted, daughter and elementary school teacher.
Christin Danielle Funderburk, 39, of Culpeper Virginia, died in her home on November 20th, 2023.
Christin was born in Fredericksburg Virginia on August 16, 1984 to Arlynn and Chris Funderburk. Christin was an awesome, caring, loving, daughter, sister, aunt, and granddaughter. She loved and adored being a teacher and nurturing the young minds of her students at AG Richardson Elementary school in Culpeper, Virginia. Christin graduated from Courtland High School in Spotsylvania, Virginia and received her degree in education at Radford University in 2006. Christin received teacher of the year for Culpeper County in 2012.
Christin will always be remembered for her sweet giving nature, dedication to her family, students, and fellow AG Richardson staff. Christin had a way of making those around her feel special, she was a great listener, a wonderful communicator, and she was always available to provide assistance and comfort. She loved deeply and was loved deeply by all.
"Miss Fun", as she was revered to by her students throughout her 18 years of teaching, felt as if she was called to help shape and mold their little minds, to instill self worth, confidence, all the while providing them with all of the tools that they needed to be successful in their little lives. Christin was a passionate educator in Culpeper, Virginia.
Christin is survived by her parents, Arlynn and Chris Funderburk; her sister, Candace Funderburk; her nephew, Maverick Hughes; her grandfather, Dave Marple, her grandmother, Helen Funderburk; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
