Cheryl Lynn Jones' Obituary
Cheryl L. Jones, 62, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Mary Washington Hospital with her family by her side. Cheryl was born August 22, 1960, in Paterson, New Jersey to Robert G. Cotton, Sr. and Janet York.
Cheryl was a member of the Eagles Club #4123 and the Moose Lodge. She married Robert L. Jones “Jr” and they had two children – daughter, Tonya and son, Casey. She was a stay at home mom until both children attended school. She then worked in manufacturing. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Tonya Johnson and Casey Jones; sisters, Gloria Burdette, Bonnie Lumpkins, Cassandra “Cat” Wheeler, and Kimberly Shaffer; brothers, Bret and Bart Cotton; grandchildren, Kendra Johnson, Caleb Jones, Liyah Jones, and Nathan Johnson; great granddaughter, Avery Joseph; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jr Jones; parents, Robert Cotton and Janet York; brother, Robert Cotton; and grandson, Austin Jones.
A celebration of life will be held from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Knights of Pythias, 330 Wallace Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
