Charlotte Ann Veregge's Obituary
Charlotte Ann Veregge, 80, of Culpeper, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 14, 2013. Born September 19, 1933 in Lack Township, Juniata County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nelda (Varner) Gagermeier of Huntingdon, PA.
Charlotte was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She took great enjoyment in quilting and belonged to the Madison Quilt Guild, the Virginia Quilt Museum, and the Virginia Consortium of Quilters. She was also a member of The Culpeper Red Hot Divas, a local chapter of The Red Hat Society.
Charlotte is survived by her son Walter Goss (and wife Susan) of Huntingdon, PA, daughter Teresa Shammas sister Jean Lamberson (and husband Ray) of Mapleton Depot, PA, brother Max Gagermeier (and wife Audrey) of Alexandria and son-in-law Larry Garber of Culpeper.
Surviving grandchildren are Nichole Shugars (and husband David), Hayley Goss, Natalie White, Anna Shammas, Gregory Garber (and wife Michelle), Gretchen Garber, and Gloria Garber. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Abrianna and Kira Moon, step great-grandchildren Cambria, Cassidy, and Colin Shugars as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter Deanna Garber, her husband E. Jack Veregge, her brother Warren Ramsey and her sister-in-law Linda Gagermeier.
A memorial service for Charlotte A. Veregge will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Alan Follett officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Virginia Quilt Museum, 301 S. Main St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801 and/or Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 6565 Oak Park Rd., Oak Park, VA 22730.
