Still think about Aunt Jo. I appreciated getting to know her better later in life. She was spicy sometimes, and I liked that about her. Love, Lisa

Charlotte and George were a most gracious and giving couple one could possibly know. There are so many, many remembrances that flood my mind when I think of them. He helped me load logs on a nearby farm. I helped him pitch hay one year. He gave me numerous pecan logs of which many pieces of furniture were made. I always cherished the time we enjoyed when we would occasionally meet in Bealeton. They were truly top notch people - always gracious, always caring, and always willing to give of themselves and their treasure. We pray God will give their children peace of heart as He enfolds them in His ever loving and gracious arms. Milt & Louise.
Charlotte was at her best surrounded by family and friends. She was always available to help a friend in need. When we lived in the Philippines, power outages were not infrequent. Everyone knew that when the lights went out, the Knaus family offered comfort to all. The carport lights ran off of batteries and generators and Charlotte had food available for adults and kids alike. We didn’t have to ask. We always knew we were welcome. We actually looked forward to those power outages. Charlotte set a high bar as a friend. We will miss her.
