Charles Jonathan Robert Leake's Obituary
Charles Jonathan Robert Leake, “Johnny”, 21, of Madison died Saturday, February 24, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born April 11, 1985 in Charlottesville, VA to James Fred Leake, Jr. and Mary Katherine Leake.
Johnny attended First Baptist Church. He was a collector of NASCAR items, coins, and model cars. He enjoyed horseback riding and working with his brother Jaime landscaping and working on his trucks. He liked going with his sister and buying scratch tickets in hopes of “the big win” and spending time with his brother Rusty. Above all, he adored his pit bull dogs and loved his family more than anything.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers, James “Bubba” Fred Leake, III, and his girlfriend, Candi Moore of Madison along with their children, Jamie Lynn Leake and Nathan Myers, James Rusty Leake of Madison, and his sister, Angie “Sissy” Leake of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include his maternal grandmother, Marie Dodson of Madison, his special uncle, Richard Jenkins, a special friend, Tonya Shepherd of Wolftown, his best friends, Chase Shifflett and Charles Taylor, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Jenkins, his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Fred Leake and Alice Leake, and his aunt, Rita Macelveen.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel McPeak, Richard Jenkins, Phillip Leake, Glen Leake, Charlie Taylor, Randy Jenkins, Timothy Weakley, Bill Shepherd, and Jerry Turley.
