Charles Edward Loyd, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Edward Loyd, Jr., 63, of Richardsville died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 3, 1943 in Cloverdale, VA to the late Charles Edward Loyd, Sr. and Lucille Mae Dooley Loyd.
Mr. Loyd was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and enjoyed taking country drives with his wife to sightsee and admire the scenery. He loved to develop land and take on demanding and challenging projects. He was a spirited, fun-loving man, particularly towards his grandchildren whom he adored greatly.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Margaret Elaine Gibson Loyd; two children, Charles Kevin Loyd and his wife, Margarita of Stephens City; Melissa Elaine Loyd Anderson and her husband, Darien; and their children, Zachary Kirk Anderson and Bradley Edward Anderson all of Culpeper. He is also survived by one sister, Dorothy L. Hale of Cloverdale, VA, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Edward Loyd.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
The family will have a second visitation on Sunday, October 8, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Rd., Daleville, VA 24083.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Glen McCrickert officiating.
Interment will follow in Daleville Cemetery.
