Charles Lewis Younger's Obituary
Charles L. Younger, 94 of Culpeper passed from this world peacefully Monday, October 26, 2015 while at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on September 2, 1921 in Culpeper County to the late Jesse M. Younger and the late Emma Edith Judd Younger(Lowman).
Charles was a member of Gourdvine Baptist Church, member and Brother of Masonic Lodge Fairfax No. 43 also his mother Lodge. Charles retired from the federal government, his last services were serving as a mechanic for the Air Conditioning and refrigeration equipment at Andrews Air Force Base.
Charles was an avid hunter, always looking forward to deer season. He loved his music and loved playing anything with strings on it. He once was in a band by the name of “The Blue Bonnet Boys” who played out of Fredericksburg.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Louise Settle Younger and their two daughters; Patricia G. Carson and her husband Tim Carson of Locust Grove, VA and Pamela Alvarado and her husband Rey Alvarado of Port Townsend, WA. Four grandchildren Kimberly Taylor of Locust Grove, VA. Kristi Kloby and her husband Rob of Rhoadesville, VA. Jordan Alvarado of Seattle WA and Julian Alvarado of Port Townsend, WA.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Masonic Rites will be conveyed at 6:30 by members of Brother Youngers Mother Lodge Fairfax No. 43.
A funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper with Pastor Joe Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 2524.
Pallbearers named are; Levi Brown, Tim Carson, Robert Kloby, Mike Settle, Rob Kloby, Melvin Settle, Jr., Brandon Taylor, Donnie Johnston, Rey Alvarado and George Epperson.
