Charles Sampson Woolfrey's Obituary
Charles S. Woolfrey, age 73 of Triangle, Virginia lost his battle with cancer on May 11, 2025 surrounded by family at his residence, he peacefully left this earth to enter through Heaven’s gate and anxiously greet those that left before him and the Lord.
Born on June 14, 1951 in Woodbridge, he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Clifton C. and Gertrude M. (Beavers) Woolfrey; and his siblings, Clifton “Cliff”, Thomas “Tommy” Pete, Deloris, Ruby and Sharon “Sherby”.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lana “Jean” Woolfrey; his daughter, Tina Kitts “Tinabuck” and husband Michael “Mike” of Spotsylvania, Virginia; his cherished granddaughter, Reagan “Reageepoo” Kitts; multiple siblings, Frances “Sis”, Millie, Kitty, Barbara Ann, John, and Lee; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and friends who thought of him as a brother, Uncle Charlie or a dad.
He was a hard worker all of his life and the owner of Stafford Trash Service for 25 years. After he sold his business, he worked for multiple other trash companies and he took pride in serving his customers! He was well respected and admired by his employees, coworkers and customers alike. He never met a stranger! Upon his retirement he enjoyed sitting on the porch, going to 7-11 for coffee and the campground, and being with friends and family.
His family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow at Spotsylvania Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
