Charles Thomas Stanley's Obituary
Charles Thomas Stanley, 91, of Culpeper died Friday, February 5, 2016 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 18, 1924 in Orange to the late Thomas and Rosa Dodson Stanley.
Mr. Stanley proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Albert Stanley and his companion, Lisa Stringfellow of Culpeper and Michael Ronnie Stanley and his wife, Beverly of Rixeyville; five siblings, Shirley Knighting, Carol Stanley, Henry Stanley and his wife, Emma, Barbara Tharp and Stella Collier; seven grandchildren, Andy Stanley, Kenneth Stanley, Jr., Kenny Corbin, Michael Stanley, Charlie Stanley, Jerry Corbin and Sherry Frazier; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marie Stanley; two sons, Thomas Lee Stanley and Lester Albert Stanley; and four siblings, Daisy Bailey, Gertrude Fincham, Pearl Juiffre and Luther Stanley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday , February 11, 2016 at 1p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry Stanley officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
