Charles William Smoot, Sr.'s Obituary
Charles William Smoot, Sr. 71, of Brandy Station died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1946 in Barboursville, VA to the late C.H. and Ethel Kennedy Smoot.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice Mary Smoot; five children, Kenny Smoot (Gwen), Heather Smoot, Charles Smoot, Jr. (Heidi Stanley), William Christopher Smoot (Cassie), and Alisa Kenty; and nine siblings, Barbara Jenkins (Doug), Betty Gentry (Mike), Jane Jarrells (Mark), Brenda Smoot (Steven Boxley), Thomas Smoot (Laura), Ronnie Smoot (Tammy), Todd Smoot (Theresa), Fonda Keyser (Bruce), and Garrison Hawkins (Ginger).
Additional survivors include 16 grandchildren, Khaleb Smoot, Kolby Smoot, Jaliah “Chubbs” Smoot, Arianna “Injun” Smoot, Liam “Boomer” Smoot, CW Smoot, III, Dustin Smoot, Elijah “Box of Rocks” Smoot, Madison Smoot, Natalie Richards, Alexandra Richards, Kadin “Astro the A” Smoot, Austin Smoot, Ryan Kenty, Brandon Kenty (Jessica), and Niki Dupre; his special aunts, Bessie Hilton, Nellie Jenkins, and Sara Smoot; two brothers-in-law, Brian and Raymond Yanofchick; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Lynn Dupre; three brothers, Arthur Smoot, Doug Smoot, Curtis Smoot; and his infant sister.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Brian Yanofchick officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
