Joseph Freeman
My first encounter with Chuck resulted in a lasting bond of friendship. I remember Chuck for his candor, wisdom, warmth, convictions and honesty. We both had military backgrounds and we enjoyed sharing our “ war stories” at every meeting. Chuck was proud of his navy experience while serving on destroyers and often reflected on his service on these warships. My limited knowledge on these vessels was broadened through our candid discussions. He even shared magazines highlighting these magnificent warships of the US Navy. Big Al and I had occasion to visit Churck’s apartment on a very cold day and I will never forget the hospitality and the memorable experience that day. .
A good friend, a gentleman, and a courageous fighter to the end, Churck leaves behind a legacy which will endure.
