Charles Middlebrook's Obituary
Charles Q. Middlebrook, 84, of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and worked on the gun range at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, for 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was responsible for and was a charter member of the Federal Credit Union on Dahlgren base, where he held the first account issued.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Sadie Middlebrook; three children, Lee Mullin, Dr. Janet Nogle and Victoria Nogle; a son of his heart, Mark Fife; six grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Leith; a brother, Carlton Middlebrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Charles and Grace Middlebrook. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Middlebrook; his son, Don Nogle; a sister, Doris Wilcox; and a brother, Edgar Middlebrook.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels and Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway.
A funeral will be held Monday, March 12, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in King George, with the Rev. James B. May Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery with military honors.
The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.
