Charles R. McQuaid Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Russell McQuaid, Sr., 81, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Woodmont Center.
He was born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania February 9, 1932 to the late Charles and Elizabeth Slaven McQuaid.
Charles is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Winston McQuaid; four sons, Eric Prevatte, of the home, Charles McQuaid, Jr. and his wife, Patty, David McQuaid, and Graham Winston and his wife, Joan, all of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Clair Carter, Margie Storbert, Cassie Houston and her husband, Don, all of Tarentum, PA and Mary Thompson and her husband, Jack of Erie, PA; his mother-in-law, Tena Winston of Coal City, WV; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Kelly and a brother, Vincent McQuaid.
Charles’ family would like to give a special thank you to his special friends, Mary, Becky and Bryant Kitts and his dear friend, Sonny Gheen.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Berea Baptist Church.
