Charles Joseph McCartney Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Joseph (aka Chuck or C.J.) McCartney, Jr., 72, of Colonial Beach, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and daughter.
Chuck was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 16, 1941 to the late Charles Joseph and Francis Carol McCartney, along with his twin sister, Colleen Ann Koczorowski, who preceded him in death.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darline Stones McCartney; his son, Richard Lee McCartney (Richie); his daughter, Jeannette Lynn Lohr (Jeannie) and her husband, Gregory Stephen Lohr (Greg); five grandchildren, Michael Calvin McCartney, Charles Joseph McCartney, Timothy Roger Lohr, Ashley Marie Lohr and Christopher Gregory Lohr; his sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Clayton and her husband, Roy and Mary Carol Grippo and her husband, Mark; his nieces and nephews, Teresa Marie Rehor and her husband, James, Angela Darline O’Bryan and her husband, Kevin, Randall Lee Bloom (Randy), Stephen Lawrence Grippo, Gregory Mark Grippo, Haley Marie Grippo and Rachel Ann Grippo; and five great nephews, Joey Rehor, Daniel O'Bryan, Brian Rehor, Justin O'Bryan and Roy Rehor.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Burial will be private. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
