Charles William Mastin Sr.'s Obituary
Charles William Mastin, Sr., 86, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at his home.
A native of Spotsylvania, he was born June 2, 1927 to the late Willie and Julia Mastin.
Charles was an avid gardener and was the owner of C.W. Mastin & Son logging business.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Fannie Mastin; his children, Brenda Woolfrey, Charlotte Smith, Charles Mastin Jr. and his wife Marty, and Betty Lou Woodell and her husband Ray; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Mastin and Henry Mastin and his wife Mary; and two sisters, Daisy Paytes and Shirley Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.
Charles’ family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Mine Road Baptist Church, 11111 Post Oak Road, Spotsylvania, VA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Charles’ family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Mine Road Baptist Church, 11111 Post Oak Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22551.
