Charles Franklin Gibson's Obituary
Charles Franklin Gibson, 53, of Locust Grove, VA passed away at his home Friday, February 18, 2022. He was born August 31, 1968, in Culpeper to Helen Cornwell Gibson and the late Kenneth Gibson.
Charles worked for Collins Construction for 27 years and was a master operator. He was a NASCAR fan, loved muscle cars, an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.
In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth; children, Crystal Dillard (Ben), C.J. Gibson (Kasey), Kenneth Gibson, and Jacob Gibson; siblings, Buck Cornwell (Doreen), Marie Miller, Jerry Gibson (Donna), Junior Gibson, Amy Gibson, Laura Lerner (Monty), and Missy Hickman; grandchildren, Kyle Dillard, Natalia Dillard, Mila Dillard, Ryleigh Gibson, Serenity Gibson, and Sara Scott.
He is also survived by his cousin and best friend, Tony Miller, his good friend, Donnie Rector, his beloved and faithful companion, Pudgey, as well as a host of additional family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Ashton Archer officiating. Facial coverings are required to enter the building. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at The Town of Remington Cemetery, 11910 Cemetery Road, Remington, VA 22734.
