Charles Aubrey Elliott, Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Aubrey Elliott, Sr., 87, of Culpeper passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1929 in Schoolfield, VA to the late Charles and Maybell Parrish Elliott.
Mr. Elliott was a member of the Culpeper V.F.W. Post 2524.
He is survived by his two children, Charles A. Elliott, Jr. and his wife, Jean of Culpeper and Patricia Eggborn and her husband, James of Rixeyville, VA; four grandchildren, Aubrey Jackson Elliott and Emily Rose Elliott, both of Fredericksburg, Elliott James Eggborn of Richmond and Jenna Macon Eggborn of Fredericksburg; and three siblings, Howard “Pete” Elliott and his wife, Ellen of Tampa, FL, Gene Elliott and his wife, Donna of San Antonio, TX and Nancy Weatherford and her husband, David of Kernersville, NC.
He is also survived by his second wife, Dorothy Elliott and her four children, Kirk, Keith and Kelly Pickerel and Kim Hicks; and his brother-in-law, Clyde Dickerson and his wife, Peggy of Danville, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Mamie Dickerson Elliott; and three brothers, James, Bill and Robert Elliott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Minister Bill McDiarmid officiating. Military honors will be provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
