Charles Coleman's Obituary
Charles N. Coleman, 85, of Rixeyville died Wednesday, November 24, 2010. He was born May 15, 1925.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edyth G. Coleman and oldest daughter, Cary Ann Lindblad.
Mr. Coleman was a WWII vet. He served his community as a Culpeper County Sheriff’s Deputy for many years and was known to his fellow officers as ‘Old Timer’. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband, and a worldly traveler who loved the outdoors and working with his hands.
He is survived by his children, Charlene Miller of Rixeyville, Kevin C. Coleman of Colorado, Carla G. Coleman of Rixeyville, Gregory R. Coleman and his wife, Rosemarie C. of Rixeyville, Colette White and her husband, Victor of Culpeper, and four grandchildren, Andreas Miller of Rixeyville, Myles White, Trevor White and Ashley White, all of Culpeper.
The family will have a time of fellowship to celebrate Mr. Coleman’s life on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the area food bank &/or Toys for Tots.
