Charles Henry Bayne Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Henry “Chuck” Bayne, Sr., 61, of Culpeper entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was born July 14, 1951 in Fauquier County to the late Charlie Franklin Bayne and the late Katherine Hawkins Bayne.
Charles was a good old country boy who would give you the shirt off his back if he liked you.
Mr. Bayne is survived by a daughter, Tina Scroggins and her husband, Bobby, and by a son, Charles H. “CJ” Bayne, Jr. and his wife, Shannon, of Panama City, Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Dominique and Ashley Scroggins and Kurtis, Cory and Jordan Bayne.
Additional survivors include a brother, Hugh L. Bayne and his wife, Brenda, and two sisters, Frances Bayne of Jackson, Wisconsin and Mary Lou Brumbles and her husband, Phillip. He is also survived by two very special aunts, Julia A. Sisk and Hazel L. Veltoven who was raised as his sister.
Other survivors include the mother of his children, Sharon Bayne Belanger, many nieces and nephews, a multitude of good friends and his two beloved canines, Hurricane Jane and Jeremiah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Franklin Bayne, and another brother, Richard L. Bayne.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Found and Sons chapel with Pastor Tommy Dustin officiating. The family requests casual attire.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Bayne, Russell Burke, Richard Bayne, Jr., Rodney Cane, Joshua Sparrow and Jimmy Parks.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Compton, Roger “Smiley” Soper, Phillip Brumbles and Kenneth Glascock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mary Lou Brumbles, 402 Monticello Avenue, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Grace Singer, The Hope Center, Hospice of the Rapidan, Dr. Elizabeth Ghauhan, Dr. Shiv Khandelwal, Tina Scroggins and Sharon Belanger for all the care and compassion shown to Mr. Bayne.
