Cecil Howard Jeffries' Obituary
Cecil Howard Jeffries, 79, of Culpeper passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born May 3, 1943, in Manassas, VA to the late Ernest Jeffries and Annie Frances Jeffries.
Cecil loved watching horse racing and going to Charleston, WV. He had a passion for fishing and coon hunting. He loved his family, his wife, and spending time with a special little boy, Landan.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Myers Jeffries; children, Mark Anthony Jeffries (Lisa), Robin Gayle Johnson, Bucky Howard Jeffries, and Melissa Lynn Soaper (Howard; sisters, Barbara Edwards (Charles) and Helen Edwards (Murray); grandchildren, Steven Johnson, Pat Johnson, Matt Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Jessica Jeffries, Mark Jeffries, Jr., Amanda Jeffries, Krista Jeffries, Howard Soaper, Jr., Sarina Soaper, and Victoria K. Soaper; sisters in law, Phyllis Jeffries and Sandra Jeffries; and a host of great-grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Cecil is preceded in death by his son, Spencer Bradley Jeffries; siblings, Steve Jeffries, Herbert Jeffries, and Elizabeth Grimsley; and one brother-in-law, Tippy Grimsley.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 16, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.

Interment will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, 23557 Lignum Road, Lignum, VA 22726.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Tristen Bolt, Howard L. Soaper, Tommy Bolt, Conner Skerman, Stewart Freeman, and Bryan Prieto.
