Catherine Clatterbuck Rumsey's Obituary
Catherine Clatterbuck Rumsey, 86, of Rapidan, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born on August 25, 1920 in Culpeper, VA to the late Lester L. Clatterbuck and Gussie Shaffer Clatterbuck.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Marsh, two grandchildren, Samantha Weakley-Stallard and her husband, Jeffrey and Jason Weakley and his wife, Raina, and one great grandson, Ethan Stallard, all of Rapidan, one sister, Margaret Scroggins of MD and one step grandson, Justin Dodson of Culpeper.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Conrad Rumsey, Jr., four brothers, Ernest Clatterbuck, Silas Clatterbuck, Lewis Clatterbuck and Charles Clatterbuck and two sisters, Hazel Bennett and Virginia Allen.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth F. Honeycutt and Rev. Adam Meisberger officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rob Brown, Michael Clatterbuck, Ronald Clatterbuck, Gary Dowell, Thomas Dowell, and Kenneth Nash.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Rumsey’s name to Bethel Baptist Church, 6262 Hoover Rd., Reva, VA 22735.
