Catherine Pronto Ugalde's Obituary
Catherine Pronto Ugalde, 64, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020 with her husband by her side.
Cathy was born August 18, 1956 to Karen and Cesar Pronto. She was born and raised in the Philippines. Cathy married her husband, Gaylord, on September 13, 1980 and moved to the states in 1982. She worked at McLane Mid Atlantic for 19 years. Cathy was a beautiful person – both physically and spiritually. She loved to garden and travel. Her favorite trips were road trips and cruises, with a quick stop at the casino. Cathy had an infectious laugh and was incredibly caring. She often went above and beyond by helping more than was called for.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gaylord Ugalde; her sons, Earl Ugalde and his wife, Naomi, and Brian Ugalde; her parents, Karen and Cesar Pronto; her siblings, Joan Acierto, Meriam Castillo and Julius Cesar Pronto; and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family.
Cathy’s family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1009 Stafford Avenue, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
