Catherine Elizabeth Schad's Obituary
Catherine Elizabeth Schad, 87, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Catherine was a very loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as her constant companion, her dog “Butch”. In her free time, she enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, and relaxing outdoors with “Butch”. She was a nurse in her younger years and loved caring for those unable to care for themselves.
Catherine is survived by her son, Danny; and her daughter, Stephanie, both of Spotsylvania; as well as other family and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph C. Schad.
A graveside memorial service for Catherine will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA, 22172, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Ralph.
In lieu of flowers, Catherine’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen VA, 23060.
