Catherine Mae Oliver's Obituary
Catherine Mae Oliver, 84, of Culpeper, VA died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Lake Manassas Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 17, 1936 in Fountain Hill, PA to the late Joseph and Agnes Stern.
Cathy was a petite, loving, gentle, and caring soul who was a daughter, wife, mother, mom mom, aunt and friend to many.
Cassie as she was known to her family in PA, was the youngest of 5 children growing up in Fountain Hills, PA. After graduating from high school, she went on to become a registered nurse. She then moved to Florida to continue her career, where she met a handsome pilot and her future husband of 46 years, Robert Oliver. After marrying and moving around with the military for 10 years they settled in Manassas, VA with their 4 daughters. Cathy went back to nursing when the youngest daughter started school at Annaburg Manor. Loving the warm weather and water, the family spent many great summers at their beach house in Nags Head, NC. After their retirement, they left Manassas and moved to Fredericksburg, VA. Upon the passing of her loving husband in 2008, Cathy lived with her daughter Stacy and her family in Culpeper, VA.
She is survived by her four daughters; Barbara Wren (David), Sharon Seelig (Matthew), Debra O’Boyle, and Stacy LeVenuta (Robert), 13 grandchildren; Ashlee (Brandon), David Michael, Andrew, Jessica (Brad), Brittany (Thomas), Amanda, RJ, Tori, Corrinn, Matthew, Loren, Danielle, and Marissa, 8 great grandchildren; Sammie, Aiden, Aleigha, Gemma, Blake, Kassie Mae, Bryce, and Wyatt. She is also survived by one sister in law; Jayo Stern.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband,
Robert Oliver, and siblings; John Stern (Doris), Idella Donatelli (Fred), Paul Stern (Jayo), and Helen Yob (Lou).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
