Catherine Virginia Jett's Obituary
Catherine Jett, 81, of Falmouth passed away Saturday November 27, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Delores Garringer and son, Roy Price; her sisters; Nancy Brown of Falmouth, Jean Toombs, Ida Davenport both of Spotsylvania and Margaret Lawe of California; a brother, Rev. William T. Price of King George; six grandchildren, Matthew Jett, of Spotsylvania, Jennifer Jett, Wayne Williams, Robert Price and Lisa Price, all of Fredericksburg and Michael Williams of Chico, California; and six great-grandchildren.
Catherine is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward F. Jett; a son, Charles Edward Jett and her parents, Ida Rebecca Price and Guy John Price of Falmouth.
Catherine worked for the Stafford County public schools transportation department for over 19 years. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and especially enjoyed helping them make their Christmas and Easter baskets. She loved to play bingo and was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 am Thursday, December 2, 1010, with Rev. William T. Price officiating. Interment will follow at Ramoth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to invite friends to gather after the service on Thursday at the Falmouth Fire Department, 250 Butler Road, Stafford.
