Catherine Davis' Obituary
Catherine Shackelford Davis, 91, of Fredericksburg passed away on Saturday December 5, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.
Catherine is survived by her sons, Thomas B. Davis of Ruther Glen and Norman E. Davis and his wife Donna of Warrenton; her sister, Loraine Drake of Princeton, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several loyal nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, former Sheriff of Spotsylvania, Benjamin W. Davis Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be grandsons Matthew, Mark and Jonathan Davis, nephew Charles Davis, Leslie Bullock, Jr. and Butch Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, 7203 Poplar St. Annandale, VA 22003.
