Catherine Brady's Obituary
Catherine Anne Brady, 47, of Stafford County passed away unexpectedly at Mary Washington Hospital on Friday, March 30th.
Ms. Brady was a Navy veteran and one of the first women to complete Navy Nuclear Power training. She was employed as a Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin until June 2001 when she took an extended leave of absence to spend more time with her children. She was instrumental in the Interior Communications design of the LHD 5 Class Amphibious Assault ship and the Combat Systems design of the LPD 17 Class Amphibious Assault ship. Cathi loved to dance.
She is survived by her husband Steve, five children ,five grandchildren and three beloved cats; Keith, his wife Nicole, their children Alysa Shortt, Mayci Shortt and Elan Brady all of Stafford County. Eric Brady of Bethesda, Maryland. Stephanie Mace, her children Kaylynn and Tony all of Grants, New Mexico. Kristen Brady and Sean Brady, both of the home. Lily, Scoop and Smokey all of the home.
A private celebration of her life will be held at the family home on April 22nd, her 48th birthday.
