Cassie F. Crouch's Obituary
Cassie F. Crouch, 89, of Richmond, VA died Wednesday, July 9, 2008. She was born in Bostwick, GA to Lovic P. and Carrie R. Wagnon and in 1937 graduated from Rabun Gap - Nacoochee Junior College where she retained lifelong alumni loyalty. Cassie moved to Alexandria, VA during World War II where she met and married William H. Crouch a union that lasted 50 years. In 1978, the Crouchs moved to Ocala, Fla and in 2002, following Bill’s death, Cassie moved to Richmond to be closer to her family. Cassie enjoyed travel, family, friends and fishing. An afternoon on the pond bank with family or friends was a true joy.
Mrs. Crouch is survived by her son, William Henry Crouch, Jr. and his wife Chris of Richmond, VA, two grandsons, Steven John Crouch of Charlottesville, VA. and Daniel William Crouch of Newark, DE. She is also survived by two sisters, Ossie Williams of Madison, GA. and Jessie Adair of Rutledge, GA, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving brother, LP Wagnon, Jr. of Bostwick, GA.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Rev. Alvin Burgess officiating.
