Carrie Elizabeth Robinson's Obituary
Carrie E. Robinson, 65, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, formerly of Eggbornsville, departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2007 at Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center. Born September 3, 1941 in Culpeper County to the late Jack and Mable M. Johnson.
She worked for many years at the Sheraton Inn located in New Carrollton, Maryland. She was later employed by the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C., prior to her early retirement in 1995.
Ms. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband of over 38 years, Douglas R. Robinson, Sr. formerly of Eggbornsville. She is survived by four children, Douglas R. Robinson, Jr. of Forestville, MD, Anthony E. Robinson of Chapel Oaks, MD, Latitia A. Felus of Lanham, MD and Albert D. Robinson of Capitol Heights, MD.
Additional survivors include: one daughter-in-law, Kathy M. Robinson, supportive, kind and cherished “daughter” Doris T. Green; one son-in-law, Michael O. Felus, four sisters, LaVerne Adams of Eggbornsville, VA; Gloria McNeill and Carolyn Banks of Upper Marlboro; and Patricia Johnson of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Jack E. Johnson, and his wife, Julia both of Arlington, VA, three brothers-in-law, Anthony O. Staunton of Lewisdale, MD, Richard Robinson, and his wife, Shirley, both of Rixeyville, William Robinson, and his wife, Betty of MD, five sisters-in-law, Pearl Jackson and her husband Robert both of Whitshop, Loretta Butler, and her husband Henry, both of Rixeyville, Susan Hunter, and her husband John, both of Culpeper, Marie Moore and her husband, Glenn both of Litchfield Park, Arizona, and Angela Robinson of Clinton, MD. She is survived by eight grandchildren; devoted friends, Roy and Rose Brown, both of Capitol Heights and Betty Deans of Rixeyville, VA; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 12 noon at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Mikel Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Saturday, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery, in Norman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 500, Falls Church, VA 22042.
