Carolyn Shultz Shuey's Obituary
Carolyn Shultz Shuey passed away on December 9, 2024, at her home, at the age of 77 on her birthday in Culpeper, VA. She was born and raised in Bloomsburg, PA by her parents, Harold Clyde and J. Marguerite Hock Shultz. After graduating from Millville High School in 1965, she went to work for the FBI in Washington, DC for 2 years, followed by the District Unemployment Compensation Board in Washington, DC for 5 years. Later, after moving to Culpeper, she worked for 18 years at J&J Real Estate and 5 years at United Way of the Piedmont.
Carolyn was a charter member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Culpeper. She served on the Altar Guild, Fellowship Committee, as Treasurer, and for many years as a Teller. She loved music and had a strong faith in Jesus.
She was predeceased by her parents and younger sister, Janice Marie Shultz. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, Jack Thomas; a daughter, Susan Shuey Beasley of Lorton, VA; one brother, Ronald Shultz; one sister, Rosemary Shultz; and one niece, Heather
Shultz. She also leaves behind two beloved granddaughters, Natalie and Kaitlyn Beasley.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Bunnell Funeral Home located at 179 E Main Street, Millville, PA 17846. Immediately following the service, all are invited to the New Rosemont Cemetery located at 2001 Old Berwick Rd in Bloomsburg for the
graveside Committal Service. Following the graveside service, there will be a time for fellowship and refreshment at the Perkins Restaurant located at 23 Ricky Ave in Bloomsburg.
