Caroline Meaux's Obituary
Caroline Truslow Susie Meaux took God's Hand to enter Heaven on Sept. 29, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was at her home, surrounded by her loving sons, a grandson and devoted caregivers at the time of her passing.
Susie retired from the Marine Corps Base Quantico after 16 years of civil service as a purchasing agent for the food service department. She was a member of Hull's Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph B. Meaux Jr.;two sons, Donald G. Meaux of Wilmington, N.C. and Ronald W. Meaux and his wife, Bonnie, of Fredericksburg; a sister, Anna T. Snellings; two grandsons, Ryan A. and Brett A. Meaux, both of Clermont, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Rusty. She was blessed to have two devoted caregivers, Charles Butch Mallory and Joan Largent. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Carrie Truslow; two sisters and five brothers.
A graveside service will be held at Hull's Memorial Baptist Church cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 with Pastor Rick Clore, Pastor Paul Lee and Rhonda Nash, associate pastor officiating. Pallbearers will be Troy Arida, Randall Matherly, David Snellings, Duke Newton, John George Truslow and John Charles Truslow. Vocalist will be Tom Rose.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Hull's Memorial Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 420 Enon Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22406.
