Carole Jean Pettitt's Obituary
Carole Jean Pettitt, 80, of Culpeper, VA, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at UVA Charlottesville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 18, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to the late James and Dorothy Dunn.
She worked for Prince William County Schools as a bus driver for 30 years. Carole was an avid reader. She enjoyed board games, gardening, bird watching and crossword puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Carole is survived by her husband of 60 years, Aubrey L. Pettitt; one son, Steve Pettitt (Denise); one daughter, Susan Geisler (Tim); son-in-law, Kenny Jenkins; brother-in-law, Robert Mueller; eight grandchildren, Brett Jenkins, Chad Jenkins (Nicole), Laci Griffith (Cody), Jacqueline Pettitt, Alyse Kawa (Edward), Nicholas Geisler, Emily VanHook (Jimmy), and Morgan Geisler; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Jenkins; and three siblings, Peggy Latham, Carl Dunn, and Debbie Mueller.
A private funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating.
