Carlond Noel Zimmerman's Obituary
Carlond Noel Zimmerman, 75, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
She was the daughter of Ronald Huffman and Emily Elvira Huffman.
A beloved wife and loving mother and grandmother, born in the mountains of West Virginia February 7, 1941. She moved to rural Spotsylvania in 1971 where she led a very simple but satisfying life.
Besides Carlond’s main love, her husband and her children, she also loved playing bingo at the American Legion Post 320 on Brock Road in Spotsylvania County. She went every Thursday for two years with her children. She loved raising African grey birds, which she had for 15 years. In her spare time she loved spending time doing word searches, Sudoko, and traveling. After 25 years, she retired from K-Mart and would spend time traveling the eastern coastline in a RV from Maine to the Florida Keys with her family. Her favorite place to visit was Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and the Great Smokey Mountains, which was the family’s favorite vacation spot for the past 15 years.
Carlond is survived by her husband of 46 years, William A. Zimmerman; four children, Bobby Goss, Jr., Bethel Holcomb, Belinda Blue and Tammy Savia; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
