Campbell Turner Hitt , 85, of Woodville died Sunday June 26,2016 at his residence. He was born March 30,1931 in Amissville to the late Campbell Hitt and Pearl Mc Donald Hitt.
Campbell was a member of the U.S. Army and was a true patriot. He was also a member of the Jaycees, loved Nascar and was an avid golfer. A genuine people person he could talk for hours to anyone, anywhere at anytime.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a son Franklin Hitt; a brother Lee Hitt and two sisters Betty Butler and Gertrude Kelly..
Campbell is survived by his wife Mary Anna Jenkins Hitt; a son Winnie Hitt of Boston; a brother Lewis Hitt ; and a sister Libby Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 29,2016 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper Va , 22701 with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Internment will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
