Calvin Thomas Myers' Obituary
Calvin Thomas Myers, 72, of Culpeper, VA passed away surrounded by his family and friends on December 31, 2019. He was born on July 13, 1947 to the late Dorian Garfield Myers and Orella Mae Thomas Myers in Elkwood, VA.
Calvin was co-owner of D&M Fencing and enjoyed working with his son-in-law Rick Bayne. He enjoyed hunting, watching the Redskins, and always enjoyed a good time. He also played third base for the Myersville softball team.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gail Brown Myers; his children, Rhonda Newcamp, Sherry Bayne, Shane Myers, Todd Bragg, Chasity Brown, Kimberly Jenkins (James Ruffin); and a grandson that he raised as his own, Darrius Kyree Brown.
Calvin is also survived by his siblings, Dorian Myers, Jr. (Debra), George Myers (Jo Ann), Douglas Myers (Libby), Ricky Myers (Joan), Kyle Myers (Donna), and Anthony “Tony” Myers (Diane), Anna Brown, Margaret Brown, Bonnie Weedon (Butch), Linda Jefferies (Cecil), and Audrey Watson (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Heather, Ashley, Ron, Nikki, Tori, Marcus, Lexi, Kalie, Rilee, Natty, Elisee, Tristan, Brooklyn, Summer, Hannah, Christopher, Laci, and Darrius; his sisters-in-law, Doris Myers, Neva Myers, Gloria Myers and Jackie Compton; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and also lifelong friends, Roger Donald and Gary Deal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Willingham; and brothers, Jessie, Wallace, Archi and Lonnie.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
