Buck Powell
George R. (Buck) Powell, Sr., 86 of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his home.
George was a veteran of WWII an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and following NASCAR.
He is survived by his children; George Powell, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Powell of Richmond, Dennis Powell and Kathleen McClain both of Hampton, Jeannie Gray and Allen Powell both of Washington State.
George also leaves behind a sister, June Adams of Fredericksburg and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by two brothers; Rufus Powell, Jr. (Buddy) and J. Melvin Powell; four sisters, Nellie Joyner, Virginia Sparrow, Sue Hunter and Emily Sullivan.
Services will be private.
