Bruce Lewis Whitaker's Obituary
Bruce Lewis Whitaker, 71, of Milford, VA, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 after a sudden illness.
Bruce is survived by his son, Gregory Whitaker of Stafford County; his daughters, Sheila Chewning and her husband, William of Milford and Candy Fournier and her husband, Greg of Glen Rogers, West Virginia; his sisters, Margie Shelton of Mullens, West Virginia, and Matilda Cohn of Woodford, Virginia; two grandsons, Jesse and Wyatt Whitaker; three granddaughters, Christina, Amanda and Mary Chewning; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriella Chewning and Jaxson Perkins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. Whitaker; his father, Shell Whitaker; his mother, Mary S. Whitaker; and his brothers, Robert P. Bolt and William J. Bolt.
Bruce's family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at Tankersley Funeral Home, 102 Moran Avenue, Mullens, West Virginia with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, West Virginia.
