Brian Sutton's Obituary
Brian Lee Sutton, 56, of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Washington D.C. Mr. Sutton was born in Fremont, Ohio to Charles and Jacqueline Sutton.
Brian was a graduate of Central York High School and played volleyball on the District 3 Volleyball Championship team in 1972. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1976. He was an avid Nittany Lions Fan and an active PSU Alumni Association member.
Mr. Sutton worked for the Alexandria Police Dept. from 1976 to 1979 at which time he founded National Protective Services, Inc. where he served for thirty years as its President and CEO. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stafford and served as youth director. Mr. Sutton was very active in a number of charities and other philanthropic endeavors.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Sutton of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Abigail Wilson and her husband, Joseph; three sons, Charles Sutton and his wife Maria, Scott Sutton and Andrew Sutton all of Fredericksburg. Brian is also survived by his mother, Jacqueline Sutton of York, PA ; a grandson,Domenic Sutton of Fredericksburg; a brother, Gary Sutton and his wife Deborah; a sister, Robin Sutton of Spotsylvania and nephew, Chris Becker of York.
Brian’s family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Memorial Service celebrating Brian’s life will be held at the funeral chapel at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Fred Donahoe officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
