Brian Douglas Moore's Obituary
Brian Douglas Moore, “Doug”, 63 of Spotsylvania County, Virginia died peacefully in his home on April 14, 2023.
He was born July 30, 1959, in Atlanta Georgia to Ralph Moore and Wanda Tencher. He proudly served time as a Marine and later became a taxi driver before retiring. His family and friends would describe him as peace, love and kindness wrapped in one.
Doug never met a stranger and opened his heart to all. Doug had many titles; but his proudest title was “Pappy”. He had grandchildren that gave him the name Pappy and many others that loved him as their Pappy.
Doug is survived by his wife, Susan Moore; daughter, Sarah Sharpe [Andrew Sharpe]; son, Richard Donaty; brothers, Steve “Bubba” Moore, David Moore [Kristine Moore], Frank Moore, and Robert Moore [Cindy Moore]; and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Moore; mother, Wanda Tencher; brother, Michael Thomas; and grandson, Charlie Donaty.
Doug’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Travelers Rest Baptist Church, 6823 Partlow Rd, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22551. A reception with lunch will follow.
