Brenda Joyce Shumway's Obituary
Brenda Joyce Shumway, 76, of Orange, VA died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Lavender Hills, Orange Campus. She was born on February 18, 1948 in Allen County, KY to the late Tom Stone and Allie Lee Blankenship.
Brenda is survived by one son, David Shumway and his wife, Teri; six grandchildren, Michael Shumway, Chelsea Cupp, Amanda Jones, Bruce A. Shumway, Matthew Shumway, and David W. Shumway; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sarah Fox.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Stanley Shumway; two sons, Raymond Shumway and Jerry Shumway; and eleven siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (old section), 305 US Ave., Culpeper.
