Brenda Sellers' Obituary
On Tuesday, May 22, 2019, Brenda Kay Sellers of Spotsylvania, Virginia departed from this earth and leaped straight into the arms of Jesus! For years, Brenda battled many ailments that would have LONG AGO done in “the average Joe”. She fought her battles with a positive attitude always ready to hop in the car and head wherever anyone was willing to take her.
Brenda was a crafty person always managing to create something beautiful and unique. She wore many hats in her lifetime...chef, artist, dancer, avid Goodwill shopper, jewelry and clothing collector, decorator, professional conversationalist, counselor, adviser, defender and protector of those she loved, forgiver...mother, mother in law, sister, grandmother, great grandma, aunt, niece, cousin, neighbor, friend and daughter of Christ. (Known also for her feistiness and spunk with a hint of a stubborn streak! ;) ) Brenda was honest and upfront and very quick to forgive. She loved unconditionally.
Born in Seco, Kentucky on May 25, 1947 to her late parents, Lloyd and Lorraine Adkins. Brenda is survived by one sister, Sharon Yates (James), of Pembroke, KY; and was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Davis, of Pembroke, KY. Brenda leaves behind four children, daughters, Bernice Blevins of Stafford, VA, and Cindy Ward of Spotsylvania, VA; and sons Chuck Sellers (Amy) of Spotsylvania, VA and Aaron Sellers (Jamie) of Stafford, VA. She will be missed by many grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amanda, and Tayler Blevins, Ashley Sellers, Michael Tibbs, Madelyn Allen, Emily and Callie-Grace Sellers, Savannah Sellers, Kaitlyn Kiser, Leann, Lily, Gracie, Samantha and Charlotte Sellers and great grandchildren Jackson and Avery Blevins and Ja’Quice, Ja’leel and Jaiden Sellers.
A memorial service will be held on Brenda’s birthday, Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Round Oak Baptist Church, 15025 Pepmeier Hill Road, Woodford, VA 22580. Meal to follow immediately after service in church fellowship hall.
