Brenda Ann Mitchell's Obituary
Brenda Ann Mitchell, 64, died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her home. She was born January 5, 1957 in Fauquier to Ruth Harris and the late Garfield Wharton.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wood; her mother, Ruth Harris, one son, Gary R. Maslock, Jr. (Kim); four siblings, Ray Wharton, Raymond Wharton, Judy Taylor, and Jerry Wharton; four grandchildren, Gary Maslock, III, Heather Lee, Casey Maslock, and Nikki Cummins; and three great grandchildren, Izaya Lee, Brandon Cummins, and Dakota Cummins. She is also survived by a special friend, Thomas Wood, Jr., additional family members, and friends.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, April Nicole Wood; and two siblings, Ricky Wharton and Towanda Harris.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Jeffrey Smith officiating.
Interment will follow immediately at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
Pallbearers will be Travis Wood, Nicole Peters, Ashley Wharton, Gene Jenkins, Mike Hensley, and Thomas Wood, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Poindexter and Randolph Wood.
