Brenda Diane Brown's Obituary
Brenda Diane Brown, 61, of King George County, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Brenda loved her dogs, Sassy and Abby. She enjoyed playing bingo and the slots.
Brenda enjoyed life to the fullest, was dedicated to her family and loved the Lord.
She is survived by her loving friend and husband of five years, Roger; two sons, Roy D. Courtney and his wife, Kate of Caroline County and James W. Brown of Stafford County; a daughter, Cheryl L. Brown of Spotsylvania County; two sisters, Patricia Andrews and Terry Finotti, both of King George; two brothers, Bruce Courtney and his wife, Dorothy of Fredericksburg and George Brookman and his wife, Janet of Spotsylvania; three granddaughters, Lacey Courtney and Jennifer Pitts, both of Texas and Chelsea Armstrong of Newport News; a great grandson, Tidus Armstrong of Newport News; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Marie Courtney and her parents, Roy Courtney and Mary Malcolm.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Brenda's family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Brenda’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
